William Edward Moss, Jr., born November 25, 1964, passed away on April 21, 2016 at Union County Community Methodist Hospital in Union County Kentucky. He was born to the late Thelma Ledford Littlejohn and William Edward Moss, Sr. in Evansville IN. He was educated in Ft. Wayne IN and later furthered his education in Owensboro, Arkansas obtaining a certification in electrical conveyor belts.
He accepted Christ at an early age and later joined the Memorial Baptist Church under Pastor Adrian M. Brooks, Sr. He was a faithful member and worked in the security ministry until his health failed. He worked in maintenance fabrication for many years as a supervisor, as a Shipping & Receiving Clerk, as well as in concrete. He was a hard worker who was admired by many on and off the job. Most of all, he was a devoted, loving, caring, compassionate husband, son, father, and friend. He believed in the “golden rule” – do until others as you would have them do unto you.
He was preceded in death by three sisters: Sparkle Moss, Evette Gregory, and Glenda Miles.
He leaves to mourn his death, his wife of ten (10) years, Lashyrl G. McGuire-Moss; father and stepmother, William Sr. and Shirley Moss; mother-in-law, Lillian Green; seven children: Gracie, Kenyatta, and William Holley, Joshua and Devin Moss, Dacia Sharer, and Brandon Stoudmire; three step-children: Karma Green Johnson (Anthony) and Krist’l and Chris McGuire. He also leaves eight brothers: Michael (Kathy), John (Kim), Herschel (Carla) and Earl (Teresa) McNary, Antonio, Nathaniel, Arron, and Monty Moss; brother-in-law, Glenn Green; eight sisters: Leona Gregory, Sharice and Tamara Moss, Alice (Mike) Wiclifte, Ruth (Bruce) Howard, Pam (Larry) Pauley, Devonna (Antwan) Wallace, and Roselyn Coleman; sister-in-law, Lydia Green; fourteen grandchildren; six aunts; two uncles; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Services will be held Saturday, April 30, 2016 at 2:00pm at Memorial Baptist Church with visitation from 12:00pm until service time. Mason Brothers Audubon Chapel in charge of arrangements. Condolences may be left at
