Wendy Crudup was born July 26, 1961 in Chicago, IL to Dasie Crudup and the late Edward Crudup. Our beloved Wendy was called home to abide in the eternal presence of her Lord & Savior Jesus Christ on September 6, 2020. Throughout her life, she was a member of several congregations, both in her hometown of Chicago, IL and her adopted home of Sturgis, KY. She thoroughly believed Psalm 150:6, which reads, “Let everything that hath breath praise the LORD. Praise ye, the LORD” and did so with the sweet soprano voice that GOD gifted her with, having sang in church
choirs throughout her life.
She could often be heard saying, “I carry a lot of faith.” Although not a current member of a congregation at the time of her earthly departure, she made her calling and election sure, having confirmed her assurance that Christ, through the shedding of His blood, saved her.
Wendy leaves to honor the legacy of her life, her mother; three daughters: Cinaiya Sian Stubbs (Randy), K’Nesha Marshae Taylor, and Darnae Chanice Crudup. She also leaves behind to cherish her memory, six grandchildren: Raighan Cian Stubbs, Camryn Ranae Stubbs, A’Miere DaShawn Utley, Da’Monie Keaton Utley; Kingston Alexander Rose & Mason Darnell Crudup; two brothers: Terry Crudup & Rodney Crudup; one sister: Vickie Crudup; two nieces: Tiara Crudup & Taylor Crudup; one uncle: John Henry Crudup; and two aunts: Fannie Mae Ward and Lula Crudup, and a host of cousins and friends.
A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 16, 2020 at Mason Brothers Audubon Chapel in Henderson, KY. Private visitation will be for family only. Mason Brothers Audubon Chapel is entrusted with arrangements. Masks are required at all times and social distancing guidelines will be followed.
