Walter William “Big Bill” Kimbrew, passed away suddenly at Deaconess Hospital on Thursday October 22, 2020 at the age of 61 years old. He was born July 31, 1959 in Evansville, IN.
Walter graduated from Bosse High School where he excelled in sports. In his younger years, Walter enjoyed sports of all kinds. He enjoyed football, track & field, and was an avid player of basketball. He could very often be seen playing basketball at Bellemeade Park. He received a basketball scholarship to Kansas State University from which he graduated with a Bachelor Degree in Business. He also graduated from the University of Evansville with a Masters Degree in Physical Education. He had a strong desire to become a basketball coach.
He was preceded in death by parents: Lue and Walter M. Kimbrew and Ed Smallwood.
He leaves to mourn his passing, daughters: Andrea Smalling (Clarence), twins Kendra Kimbrew & Kayla Kimbrew; sister: Darlene Bagby; brother: Ed Smallwood, Jr. (Michelle); nieces: Micha Farmer, twins Maurita Farmer & Michelle Farmer, Ebony Skinner (Shaba), Denisha Smallwood. He will also be lovingly remembered by his grandchildren, great nieces, great nephews, cousins and many friends and loved ones.
