Vivian "Pinky" Tubbs

Vivian Darnell Tubbs, age 77, of Henderson, KY passed away Monday, April 15, 2024 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born August 15, 1946 to the late Addie Christine Gibson and Powell Gibson in Morganfield, KY. Vivian enjoyed watching Westerns and going to the Casino. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family.

Vivian received her GED in the State of Pennsylvania.  She turned her life over to the Lord as a young girl at Carr’s Chapel Missionary Baptist Church in Morganfield, KY.  She worked as a caregiver.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers: James P. “Bubble” Gibson, Erskin Gibson, Walter “Walkie-Talkie” Gibson, and Chester Franklin “Sonny” Gibson; her sisters:  Parthenia “Bebe” Lewis and Gloria Faye “Sister” Calhoun.

She is survived by: 2 daughters: Stacia Miller and husband Robert of Virginia Beach, VA and Vivian Vernell and husband Marcell Edwards of Henderson, KY; brother: Marvin Ray “Bones” Gibson of Henderson, KY; 2 sisters: Betty “Lou” Swanson of Indianapolis, IN and Rochelle “Nunu” Burks of Sturgis, KY; 3 grandchildren: Jazzimane Ogburn, Gary Ogburn, and DeAngelo Miller; and 1 great grandchild: Gabe Ogburn.
