Virginia Barrett

Virigina (Gin) Barrett departed this life to be with the Lord on April 18, 2020 at SSM Depaul Hospital in St. Louis, MO surrounded by loved ones at the age of 91.
Virginia was born August 1, 1928 to the late Ophelia Williams in Houston County, TN where she accepted Christ at an early age before moving to Evansville, IN. She attended Lincoln High School where she received her High School Diploma. In 1951, she married her life partner, Elton E. Barrett, Sr. before moving to St. Louis, MO. She worked as a housekeeper at the Holiday Inn for many years. Virginia was a loving mother to 3 children. She enjoyed watching her favorite tv show, Days of Our Lives, cooking, paying the lottery, and talking on the phone with family and friends.
Virginia was preceded in death by her mother, Ophelia Williams and her loving husband, Elton E. Barrett, Sr.
She leaves to cherish her memories her 3 children: Elton Barrett, Jr. of Evansville, IN, Anthony (Anquay) Barrett Sr., and Ophelia (Chris) Barrett both of St. Louis, MO; 8 grandchildren: Dominique, Sequoyah, Cedric Sr., Sienna, Anthony Jr., Alasia, Azariah, and Christian.; 3 great-grandchildren: Cedric Jr., Malia, and Dajan. Virginia is also survived by one uncle Clyde Skelton of Newburgh, IN and special friend Charlotte Brooks and nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
