Vicki Michelle Greenwell Keye age 58 loving mother of 6, and adoring wife of 35 years to Terrand Keye passed away peacefully in her sleep, surrounded by her family on December 16, 2022. She was born on October 12, 1964, to the late Earl and Theresa (Midge) Greenwell in Henderson, KY.
She attended Henderson County Schools and graduated in 1982 from Henderson County High. Vicki devoted 42 years of service at Community Methodist Hospital, which is now Deaconess, where she worked in ENDO. But she happily retired and went to work for the Henderson County Board of Education as an administrative assistant at Jefferson Elementary.
Vicki professed hope in Christ at an early age and joined Saint Paul Missionary Baptist Church in Corydon, KY, under the pastoral care of Rev. T.A. Hite. She later attended New Race Creek Baptist Church under the Rev. Lynn Owens, where she served on the Mother’s Board. She recently joined with her family Greater Norris Chapel Baptist Church, under the leadership of Rev. Charles E. Johnson, where she served as an usher.
Vicki enjoyed family and family gatherings. She loved helping people by serving in any capacity needed. Whether it was transporting kids to different events, fundraisers, supporting the cheer team and many other roles. She simply enjoyed life!
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her mother-in-law Shirley Anglin Keye; sister: Dr. Judith Green; two brothers-in-law: John Black, and James Green.
Vicki leaves to continue honoring and celebrating her memory, her husband: Terrand; two sons: Jeremy (Tasha) Keye of St. Louis, MO and Victor Martez Keye of Louisville, KY; four daughters: Raven Symone Keye, Jada Keye, Jalyn Keye and Jazzlyn Keye all of Henderson, KY; three stepchildren; Brandon Dennis of Henderson, KY, Dominique Landours, Sr., of Indianapolis, IN, and Nakia Holman, of Evansville, IN,;17 grandchildren: Zayden, Messiah, Khori Rae Michelle (arriving June 2023), and Brayden of Henderson, KY, Kennedi and Kyan of St. Louis, MO, Amiya, Javen, Daylan, and Demetri all of Louisville, KY, Dominique Jr., Kaleb, Elijah, all of Indianapolis, IN, Marcus Jr., Markih, Markiyah, and Markeyah, all of Evansville, IN., four sisters; Delores (Kenneth) Posey, Dorothy Black, both of Henderson, KY, Rosa Brown of Louisville, KY and Shelitta (Gary) Hairlson of Saint Charles, MO., three brothers; Donald (Genita) Greenwell of Shreveport, LA, Dale (Ava) Greenwell of Evanston, IL, and Terry (Vicki) Greenwell of Louisville, KY., one special aunt; Betty Mcreary of Owensboro, KY, one special uncle; Herman (Jackie) Walker of Evanston, IL, a special friend more like a sister; Gail Turner; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
