Vanessa Dell Dozier

Vanessa Dell Dozier, age 62, passed away on Friday, August 12, 2016 at Baptist Health Madisonville in Madisonville, KY. A native of Madisonville, she was born to James Bruce and Johnnie Lucille Western.

Vanessa was a graduate of Madisonville’s Rosenwald High School and worked as a Certified Nurse Aid (CNA) for over 20 years. At the time of her passing, she was a member of Word of Faith Christian Center.

Vanessa loved the time spent with family. She enjoyed cooking and especially loved going to rummage sales and flea markets.

Preceding her in death were her mother and father, James and Johnnie, and her three brothers: James Rouse, Steven Wayne Western, and Bruce Western.

She leaves to cherish fond memories, her husband, Joseph Dozier; her only daughter, Oretha Western Williams (Rodney) of Dallas TX; one step-daughter, Melisha Wilson (Ralph) of Clarksville TN; three sons: James Ray Western of Illinois, Ronald Western (Latausha) of Madisonville KY, and Antonio Herron (Sandra) of Madisonville KY; three brothers: Hygene Rouse (Teresa) of Akron OH, Albert Arnold (Austria) of Hopkinsville KY, and Charles Western (Towana) of Madisonville KY; one sister, Glenda Kay McGlonde of Madisonville KY; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Memorial Services will be held Saturday, August 20, 2016 at 1:00pm at Word of Faith Christian Center, 1400 Kingsway Drive, Madisonville KY with visitation from 11:00am until service time also at the church.
