Van Eric Watson

Van Eric Watson, born on March 15, 1965, in Henderson, Kentucky, was the beloved son of the late Henry Edward Watson and Olie Jessie Watson. He passed away peacefully on February 23, 2025, surrounded by the love of his family.

Van had a passion for basketball, which he enjoyed watching with his brothers, Theodore and Terry Watson, and his nephew, Ricky Watson. He shared a special bond with his late brother, Donald Watson, visiting him most Sundays to enjoy movies and create lasting memories together.

In addition to his parents, Van was preceded in death by three brothers—Carlos, Ivanubyn, and Donald Watson—and one sister, Sharon Pruitt.

He is survived by six brothers: Dwight (Karen), Theodore (Louise), and Odell Watson from Henderson, KY, Terry Watson from Evansville, IN, Jeff Watson from Jasper, and Lonzell Watson from Orlando, FL; two sisters, Contrena Watson of Huntington, TN, and Phyllis Watson of Milwaukee, WI; along with a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins who will cherish his memory.

Van's warmth and spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew him. As we remember him, let us celebrate his life, the love he shared, and the memories that will forever remain in our hearts.
