Tonya Hayes Davis went to be with the Lord on Monday, October 8, 2018 at her home in Madisonville, KY. She was born August 4, 1974 to Karen Hayes and Ronald Baker. She was a member of Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church where she served on the Usher Board and participated in other activities. She held several jobs during her lifetime and was formerly employed as the Circulation Manager at the Madisonville Messenger. Tonya enjoyed being outside gardening and always wanted a chicken coop to raise her own chickens. Her greatest love was spending time with her sons and granddaughter.
Tonya graduated from High School in Jefferson County. She had two years in Business College where she attained degrees in Business and Communication.
She was preceded in death by one son: Tri’ston LaMarr Hayes, her paternal grandparents: Lucille and Ed Arthur Baker; maternal grandparents: Leora and Rufus Hayes; great grandparents: Birch and Bessie Young; uncles: Thomas Baker and Ronnie Higgs; aunts: Linda Baker Mason and Barbara Higgs.
Tonya leaves to cherish her memories, her mother: Karen Hayes; her father: Ronald Baker; four sons: Ian Taylor, Elijah Davis both of Madisonville, Minister Myles Davis of Columbia, KY, Malik Davis of Hopkinsville, KY; two granddaughters: Audrey Taylor of Jeffersonville, IN, Baela Belt of Earlington, KY; brother: Tarrence Greer of Bowling Green, KY; three aunts: Essie Gause (James) of Madisonville, Anita Lyles of Ohio, Alice Horton of Gary, IN; three uncles: Herman Baker (Denise), Sherman Lovan, Robert Lyles, Jr.; and a host of uncles, aunts, cousins and friends.
