Timothy Carter Tidwell

Timothy Carter “Scottie” Tidwell, age 55, of Madisonville KY, transitioned to his heavenly home at 4:54 p.m. Monday, November 26, 2018 at the home of his sister in Madisonville.

He was born June 22, 1963 to the late Cartie J. Tidwell, Jr. and Betty McNary Tidwell in Madisonville, KY. He was of the Baptist faith and he loved the Lord. Timothy was retired from Sumitoma Tire Company in Morgantown, KY. He enjoyed watching University of Kentucky basket-ball and football whenever he could. Tim was a kind-hearted and lovable person who will be missed by all who knew him.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife: Dwana Tidwell; three sisters: Helen Tidwell, Agatha Tidwell and Brandy Kirkwood; two brothers: Cartie McDonald and Kenneth Tidwell.


Tim leaves to cherish loving memories, two sisters: Phyllis A. White (Dale, Sr.) of Madisonville and Delores J. Reynolds (Tony) of Earlington; three brothers: William T. McNary (Loretta) of Atwood, TN, William A. Tidwell of Madisonville, and Jonathan Kirkwood (Asheraka) of Longview, TX; step-children: Glynnis Conrad, George Conrad, Jr., and Brandon Conrad; two uncles: Albert Tidwell (Mildred) of Murfreesboro, TN and William E. Tidwell of Evansville, IN; one aunt: Rosey Hendrix (Nancy) of Helostes, TX; a special little one who he loved dearly: Maddie Brown; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends..



Laugh when you can, apologize when you should, and let go of what you can’t change. Kiss slowly, forgive quickly, play hard, take chances, give everything, and have no regrets.
Life is too short to be anything but happy!
