Sondra Kay Hamilton

April 12, 1967 — January 7, 2021

Sondra Kay Hamilton, 53, answered the Master’s call Thursday, January 7, 2021 at Piedmont Hospital in Atlanta, GA. She began her life’s journey April 12, 1967. She was preceded in death by her parents, Reverend Ronald Collins and Missionary Virginia Harris and brother Quentin Collins.
Sondra was a lover of people and life. She found a way to enjoy every moment, maximizing the good and minimizing the not so good. From her childhood church, Holy Tabernacle COGIC in Henderson, KY and her home church, Progressive Holy Temple COGIC in Evansville, IN, she embraced and witnessed the importance of God’s Word in one’s life to whomever and wherever she was present. She actively participated through her singing and volunteering to lead Testimonial Devotion. She continued this practice at Cathedral of Faith COGIC while residing in Atlanta, GA. Sondra exemplified the meaning of “love for family, and cherished the devotion of Motherhood raising her children.
She totally enjoyed singing, cooking, laughter at Family Reunions, Backyard Cookouts, and loved to share on Facebook. Sondra was proud of her “adopted family”, Carla Winston and daughter Brittany in Atlanta, GA.
Sondra leaves to cherish her memory, her children: Allan Hamilton, Bryson, and Danielle West; grandbabies; Kaleus and Kalena Hamilton; sisters: Ingrid, Monica, Michelle, Veronica, Salisa; brothers: Roger, Clifton Sr (Vernita), and Ronald (Angela); Aunt: Yvonne Johnson; uncles: Rev. Saint Samuel (Beverly) Johnson, and Leonard Collins; along with a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
Sondra will be missed by many on earth but received in heaven with “Well done, my faithful servant”.
