Silverine Elizabeth Turner Hairlson, age 91, was called to her heavenly home on December 18, 2016 at 6:06 am at her home.
Silverine was the daughter of the late Aubrey and Emma Turner. She attended Henderson County Training School and Douglas High School.
She professed a hope in Jesus Christ at the age of nine and was baptized into the membership of Elmwood Baptist Church. She later joined the Calvary Baptist Church under the late Harry Walker.
Silverine served as music director for both the senior and youth chorus, was on the Mothers’ Board, and was an adult Sunday School teacher who truly knew the Word. Silverine was a “warrior” and “pillar” in the Calvary Baptist Church. Gifted with a voice for singing, she sang with her sister and two brothers as teenagers as the “Four Stars from Heaven.”
Silverine was united in marriage to Albert Hairlson for 63 years. She was a faithful wife.
She leaves to cherish her memory her husband, Albert; son, Charles Marshall; a very special daughter-in-law, Donna Marshall; one brother, Charles Jackson; two sisters, Pearl and Nellie Turner – all of Henderson KY; four grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; seventeen great-great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Services will be held Friday, December 23, 2016 at 1:00pm at Seventh Street Baptist Church in Henderson KY. Visitation will be 11:00am until service time also at the church. Burial in Fernwood Cemetery. Condolences may be left at
