Sid, came to know Christ at an early age and was baptized by the late C.D. Martin into the fellowship of Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church, where he remained a faithful member. Sid sang in the youth choir and always wanted to sing a solo, but his mom would bribe him with $.25 not to sing.
He moved to Evansville, IN for a brief time and worked for Gibbs Die Casting. Upon returning to Madisonville, he reunited with Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church where he served faithfully as an audio operator, chairman of the Mother’s Day Program, Church Van driver, and in the culinary arts department.

Sid was a die-hard Georgetown Hoyas, LA Lakers, and Dallas Cowboys fan. He loved music and his favorite groups were Cameo and Earth, Wind and Fire.
