Sheridan Bernard Jagoe was born September 29, 1945 in Evansville, IN to Sheridan Bernard and Lula Mae Jagoe. He transitioned from earth to eternity on July 8, 2017. He was educated in the Evansville Vanderburgh County School System, attending Lincoln High School and graduating from the original Central High School in 1963. Sheridan was an athlete. He played basketball for the Lincoln Lions and was a lifeguard at Miller’s Pool. He continued to enjoy watching sports of all kinds throughout his life especially football and basketball.
After graduating from high school, Sheridan received the call from Uncle Sam and enlisted in the United States Marine Corps. He served from 1965-1969 during the Vietnam War and received an honorable discharge.
Sheridan accepted Christ and joined New Hope Missionary Baptist Church. He also belonged to the American Legion Otis Stone Post #354. He enjoyed life and having fun with friends and family. He especially looked forward to his time with classmates at the Lincoln Clark Douglass Reunions.
Sheridan leaves to cherish fond memories, his brother: Sylvester Jagoe (Geraldine), nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.
