Rose Futrell, a seamstress, caregiver, family favorite cook, and great-great-grandmother was born in Brent, AL to Bernice Kemp. Rose spent her last days in Newburgh, IN at Newburgh Healthcare, passing on August 11, 2022, at 11:45 pm. She was the second oldest and the only girl of six children.
While married to Robert Futrell, Rose and her daughter Ann Futrell traveled overseas and saw the world. Once settled in Evansville she made First Ebenezer their church home and worked for Robert and Jenny Stayman. Rose loved her entire family and friends. Her brothers and grandchildren were everything to
her. She wants to be remembered for the good times, family gatherings, her cooking, and her amazing card parties.
Rose is survived by her younger brothers: James “Tag” Kemp, David Kemp, and Paul Kemp; two grandchildren: MyQuesa Payne and Daverin Futrell; seven great-grandchildren: Dakota (Taz), Krysie Anna (Sissy), Marques (Jaws), Nyhana (Nynah), Zion, Zaire, and D’Ahjea(Jack Jr); two great-great-grandchildren Ka’Nilynn and Ky’Aire, and several nieces, nephews,
