Rosalie “Rose” Massey, 82, passed away on Wednesday, July 13, 2022, surrounded by her family. She was born and raised in Canastota, New York, and she lived in Evansville, IN for the last 36 years where she met and married Edward Massey. She was welcomed with open arms by the entire Massey family. They loved her and she loved each one of them.
Rose loved spending time with her family. She was an avid reader, enjoyed gardening, and loved dining with her husband; often at the Golden Corral (where she especially loved the desserts!). She looked forward to chatting with the staff and the regular customers which she considered family. She also looked forward to her annual trips to New York and Kentucky to spend time with her family., and
Rose was a sweet and loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She had a heart of gold and a wonderful sense of humor. She will be deeply missed.
She is survived by her loving husband: Edward Massey; son: Mark (Lisa) Adamo; daughters: Lori (Ron) Whitbeck, Serena Barker, and Carol Rodriguez; brothers: Carman (Mary Lou) Cerio and Arnie Cerio; eight grandchildren: Christina Adamo, Matthew Adamo, Mitchell McCormick, Jason McCormick, Thomas Jackson, Jessecy Baker, Amanda Sterman, and Trece Sterman; two great-grandchildren: Riley and Isaiah.
