Rocky J. Johnson, 67, transitioned from Earth to Eternity on July 30, 2022, at Select Hospital. He was born to the late Roscoe and Lillian Johnson in Evansville on May 15, 1955.

Rocky was a devoted husband and father and a man of many trades. He owned R.J. Builders Construction Company for many years where he employed anyone who needed a job. He was also a sub-contractor for Evansville Garage Builders.

Rocky enjoyed spending time with his family, traveling, camping, riding horses, and racing cars. He and his wife Wanda celebrated 48 years of marriage in 2021.

In addition to his parents, Rocky was preceded in death by siblings: David Byers and Patricia Byers.

Rocky leaves to cherish his memory; his loving wife: Wanda; children: Michelle Johnson, Roxanne Blair (Glenn), Rocky Johnson, Jr.; siblings: David Johnson, Randall Johnson, Roxanna Campbell; eleven grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren.


Services will be held on Friday, August 5 at 1:00 p.m. at R. Mason Brothers Memorial Chapel, 1001 Lincoln Ave., Evansville, IN. Visitation will be from 11:00 until service time. Burial in Ebenezer Cemetery, Richland, IN.
