Robert Joseph Wright, 84, entered eternal life with Jesus Christ in Heaven on June 16, 2021. He was an Air Force Veteran.
RJ worked at Alcoa Warrick for 36 years in Ingot - Pack & Ship, retiring in 2012. Robert was a member of Covert Avenue Baptist Church where he served faithfully for several years and was a minister of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. He was a kind Christian man who was loved and respected by everyone. He will be missed by all who knew him.
Bob and his wife Sharon Claridge Wright would have been married 29 years this July 2021.
Robert was preceded in death by his first wife, Carole Newman Wright, and his mother, Juanita Thorne.
Survived by his wife: Sharon Wright; son: Russell Wright (Lori); step-sons: Kirby Kisner, Eric Nicholson; grandchildren: Jacob, David, Aaron, and Ethan Wright; 4 great-grandchildren; his little dog, Riley Rhue.
Services are 12:00 p.m. Monday, June 21, 2021, at Covert Avenue Baptist Church with visitation from 10:00 a.m. until service. Dr. Robert Fulkerson, the Pastor, is officiating. Burial in Sunset Memorial Park. R. Mason Brothers Memorial Chapel is entrusted with arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to Covert Avenue Baptist Church.
