Reginald Thames was born on July 21, 1964 in Gary, Indiana to the late Corine Dodd and Claude Thames. He passed away on August 26, 2022 at Deaconess Midtown Hospital surrounded by loved ones.
Reginald moved to Evansville when he was 15. He obtained his GED when he was 24 years old. He had a host of jobs including: Ameriqual Packaging, Montessori Academy, Hammer Tire, and Milano’s just to name a few. He liked to spend time with his mom, cook, crack jokes, ride his bike, play cards, and watch Westerns.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents: Millie Gill and Chester Dunbar, Sr.
He leaves to cherish his memory his sisters: Venita J. Dodd of Phoenix, AZ, Octavia “Taby” Murphy, Velicia “Lisa” Anderson of Evansville, IN; brothers: Timothy Barnes and Tracy Joyce both of Evansville, IN; six nieces and nephews: Roddell, Dariel, Seavann, Shaun-nika, Sequoyah, and Ariel, and a host of great nieces and nephews and cousins and friends.
Service will be Saturday, September 3, 1:00 p.m. at R. Mason Brothers Memorial Chapel, 1001 Lincoln Ave. Visitation will be from 11:00 until service time.
