Raymond Lamont “Monty” King, 58, went home to be with our Lord on Friday, February 11, 2022, at 1:20 am. He was born November 6, 1963, in Evansville, Indiana, to the late Fred and Bernice (Lovelace) King.
“Monty,” as he was fondly called, graduated from Benjamin Bosse High School, where he excelled in track, basketball, and football. This earned him a full-ride football scholarship to Murray State University, where he obtained a bachelor’s degree in Safety Engineering and Health. Monty was a member of Nazarene Missionary Baptist Church pastored by the Reverend Larry A. Rascoe Sr.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandparents Raymond and Eulalia Lovelace and grandson: Julius King-Tramill.
To cherish fond memories are his daughters: Courtney and Trinity King, and Helenna McKinley, whom he raised as his own; sons: Cameron and Christopher King; sisters; Cheryl King and Jacqueline King Taylor (Michael); a granddaughter; Zuri Bernard; ex-wife: Bruceann King, who he fondly adored; aunt: Raelene Lovelace; uncle: Richard Brown and a host of cousins and friends.
A mask is required for both services.
