Rachel Ann Cawthorne

Rachel Ann Greenwell Cawthorne, 89, passed from her earthly home to eternity on May 14, 2020 at Columbia Healthcare. She was born to John Thomas Greenwell and Clara Helen Miles Greenwell in Evansville. She attended schools in the Evansville Vanderburgh School System and worked as a domestic is many private homes.
Rachel was a long-time active member of Mt. Olive Galilee Baptist where she was on the Usher Board. She enjoyed being on her post and greeted you with a smile. She was also a member of the Carver Sr. Citizens Choir. Although Rachel loved to talk and enjoyed being around other people, she also loved to listen to various programs and music on the radio.
In addition to her parents, Rachel is preceded in death by children: Donald Cawthorne, Jr. Jerry Greenwell, Keith Allen Greenwell; brothers: John C. Greenwell, James W. Greenwell ; sisters: Mary Lou Ferguson and Cecilia Campbell .
Rachel leaves to cherish loving memories, children: Larry Greenwell, Sarita Knuckles (Earl), Michael Greenwell (Trina), Gwendolyn Morrison (Kevin), Janice Burkstead, Quincey Greenwell (Kelly), Domanece Cawthorne (Ben), Peggy Cawthorne; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and cousins.
