Purtis 'Nick' Cosby

Purtis Nick Cosby, born July 1940 to the late Purtis and Sarah L. Cosby.
Nick attended Douglas High School. He moved to Evansville, Indiana
to become a truck driver for Floyd I Staub. He was married to the late
Bobbie Jean Butler. Nick also worked for Mason Funeral Home
and Save a Lot grocery store.

Nick was always with a joke or a story that would have you in stitches.
He never met a stranger. If you saw Nick, he was always on his bike, "Bicycle That Is".
He would help someone in need when he could. He will be missed.

Nick passed away Saturday January 4, 2020 at
Henderson Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a son,
Terry Dewayne Cosby, a daughter Kimberly Dawn Brown,
five sisters, Vivian Burks, Georgia Ann Wells, Beulah Washington,
Alice Faye Tapp and Mary Gladys Tapp. Six brothers, R.V. Merlin Cosby,
L.C. Cosby, Robert "Doc" Cosby, Clearance Cosby and Lee Cosby .

He leaves to cherish; nine grandchildren, Tarissa Cosby, Torron Givens,
India Jones, Neshia Jones, Betty Jones, Brenda Huff, Prentiss Huff,
Angie Huff and Antonio Brown.
One sister, Barbara Daniel of Indianapolis, Indiana.
A host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
