Pastor Michael F. Smith

It is with great sorrow that we announce that Pastor Michael F. Smith, 72, of Henderson, KY departed this life to go on to his eternal life on December 13, 2020. He was born May 31, 1948 in Henderson, KY to the late Herman & Grace Smith.
He is preceded in death by his parents Grace and Herman Smith; brother: Ronald Smith; sister: Diane Straight.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his loving and devoted wife of 53 years: Glen Dora Smith; daughter: Marlin (Randy) Taylor of Henderson, KY; sons; Glenn “Tony” Stott and Malcolm Stott of Louisville, KY, Demetrius (Erica) Smith Stott of Saudi, Arabia, Richard Smith, Christopher Smith and Timothy Johnson of Henderson, KY , and a nephew that was raised like a son William Smith; brothers: Roger Smith and William Smith of Henderson, KY, James Smith of Evansville, IN, Brian Smith of Covington, KY, Bruce (Angie) Smith of Virginia Beach, VA, Asa Timothy (Sylvia) Smith of Atlanta, GA, Herman Smith, Jr. of South Bend, IN; sisters: Wanda Smith and Deborah (Tony) Bushrod of Evansville, IN, and Mary Smith of Louisville, KY; 21 grandchildren ; a host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and many dear friends.
Service will be on Saturday, December 19 at 1:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church, Henderson, KY. Visitation will be Friday, December 18 from 5:30 - 7:30 p.m. at Mason Brothers Audubon Chapel, Henderson, KY. Burial in Fernwood Cemetery.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions, face masks and social distancing will be required.
