Milton “Tinky” Killebrew, age 81, of Evansville, IN, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, April 6, 2016 at 3:10 p.m. at Pine Haven Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
He was born in Sturgis, KY and later moved to Evansville where he attended Lincoln High School. He was a member of the Metropolitan Seventh Day Adventist Church where he was an usher. Milton was employed by the Evansville Housing Authority in the Maintenance Department. He also worked for the Community Action Program of Evansville and the Foster Grandparent Program at St. Vincent DePaul Day Care.
Milton’s hobbies were fishing, watching Westerns on TV, and boxing. His enjoyment was his children and his greatest love was his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Webster, sr. and Allie Killebrew; his wife of more than 20 years: Barbara Ann Collier Killebrew; his longtime companion: Ann Mayes Baker; siblings: Webster, Corrie, Wilhemenia; grandchild: Diamante; and great-grandchild: Kaden.
Milton is survived by children: Keith, Dino, Semico, Angela, Consongia, Kimberly, Angela M., Michael Lee, DeMarco, Robert, Jeremy, Jermaine, Gininia; 31 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Homegoing Services will be held at 12 Noon on Tuesday, April 12, 2016 at R. Mason Brothers Memorial Chapel with visitation at the funeral home from 10:00 a.m. until service time. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery.
