Mildred Louise Robinson was born on January 14, 1922 in Evansville, IN to William Thomas Moore and Buena Vista Moore. She was educated in the Evansville Vanderburgh County School System and graduated from Lincoln High School in 1939. She was the last surviving member of that class to be called home.
Ms. Mildred as everyone affectionately called her, joined, and was baptized at Liberty Baptist Church in her early childhood. She was a lifetime resident of Evansville.
Ms. Mildred worked at the Evansville State Hospital as a Psychiatric Attendant and retired after 18 years of service. She loved traveling, sewing, looking at old movies, listening to jazz and watching sports; especially boxing and wrestling. Mildred was an Evansville Housing Authority (EHA) Commissioner from 1998 to 2013.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother: William Thomas Moore II of St. Louis, MO; sister: Grace Moore Curd of Detroit, MI; daughter: Barbara Oates Johnson; David’s loving father Giles B. Robinson; along with two granddaughters.
On August 2, 2020, Mildred was called home from this earthly life. She leaves to cherish her memory, her son: David Robinson (Andrea Robinson) of Henderson, Nevada; granddaughters: Debra Oates, Rebecca Johnson; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
