Michael Anthony Grissett

Michael Anthony Grissett, aka “Mr. Bowlegs,” was born on June 25, 1959, in Evansville, Indiana, to the late James and Willie B. Grissett. He departed this life on August 12, 2024. Michael graduated from Harrison High in 1977. 

Michael, also known as "Mr. Bowlegs," was a man of unwavering dedication. A lifetime member of Little Valley Baptist Church, he was known for his class and his deep love for his family and friends. His commitment extended to his career, where he served the Evansville Vanderburgh School Corporation (EVSC) for an impressive 31 years before retiring.

 In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his stepmother Mary Grissett, and sisters, Kathy Norman, Mary, and Pat.

 Michael is survived by his wife, Donna Grissett; children, Careo (Heather), Mykel, Monesha, Nedra, and Ryan; siblings, Robert, Margaret, Barbara, and Jerry; grandchildren, Careo, Azaria, Zayde, Olyvia, and Quinn; and a host of nieces and nephews, cousins, and friends.
