Maxine Lanier

March 8, 1939 — October 12, 2019

Maxine L. (Holbrook) Lanier was born on March 8, 1939 in Evansville, IN to the late Judge T. Holbrook and Margaret Brown Holbrook. She was the oldest of five siblings; three of which are deceased and she has one surviving sister, Laura Hatchett. On October 12, 2019 Maxine transitioned from her earthly home to her eternal resting place with the Lord. She was a member of Memorial Baptist Church where she remained a member until her death.
She retired from Bristol-Myers, but that didn’t stop her. She went on to open her own daycare, Home Tweet Home. She also worked for Visiting Nurse Association and Aztar. Maxine loved to travel to different casinos.
Maxine is survived by her loving husband of 43 years, Franklin (Frankie) Lanier; four children, Russell (Janice) Layne III, Greg (Susan) Layne, Cathy Layne, Curtis (Audra Banks) Layne; fourteen grandchildren, several great grandchildren, and many loving friends.
The family wishes to thank everyone who made our wife, mother, grandmother’s homegoing bearable. We pray God’s blessing upon each of you. Thank you Memorial Baptist Church.
