Maryelizabeth McCrayer Stewart

October 29, 1949 — August 8, 2015

Maryelizabeth McCrayer Stewart, went home to be with the Lord on August 8, 2015. She was the daughter of the late Will Arthur Black and Ethel Buford Black. Maryelizabeth was a lifelong resident of Evansville and was educated in the local school system attending Lincoln and Central High Schools. She received her Executive Secretarial Associates Degree from Lockyear Business College and worked in administrative positions for various companies in Evansville throughout her career. She received Christ at a very early age and continued in her walk of faith as an active member of Bethel Fellowship Church where she was church clerk, Sunday School teacher, and choir member in addition to many other roles.
Maryelizabeth was united in matrimony to Charles Earl Stewart for seven years, and to Pearl William McCrayer for twenty-five years. After Mr. McCrayer passed in 1998, she remarried Charles Earl Stewart.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her children: Marcus Grant Hayden, Shawn Charles Stewart, Sr., Tracy Lamont Stewart, and Amy Elizabeth McCrayer Davis; 10 Grandchildren: Antonio Bradley, Ahneisha Stewart, Tynisha Stewart, Shawn Stewart, Jr., Amber Stewart, Darius Fingers, Trae Stewart, Imani Carter, Dayona Davis, Soliel Stewart; 4 Great Grandchildren: De’Marien Simpson, D’Ayrien Fingers, De’Najah Simpson, and D’Naya Fingers. Services Thursday August 13, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at R. Mason Brothers Memorial Chapel with visitation from 9:00 a.m. until service time. Burial in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
