Mary Ann Mitchell

Mary Ann Mitchell, 69, transitioned from Earth to Eternity on March 3, 2025, at Envive River City Nursing Home. She was born in Grand Rapids, Michigan on April 19, 1955, to Charlie Smith and Annie Edmond Blair. 

 After graduating from high school, Mary attended college and later attained her CNA. She worked for many years as a Certified Nursing Assistant at Pilgrim Manor Nursing Home in Grand Rapids.

 Mary loved to travel, always looking forward to visiting her grandchildren. She was a great cook who was known for her delicious peach cobbler. As a God-fearing woman, she enjoyed listening to gospel music, especially Marvin Sapp.

 Mary leaves to cherish loving memories, her children, Lateesa Johnson (Anthony), Marcus Edmond; grandchildren, Michael Bates, Jr. (Jayline), Shakina Bates, Adrian Narveaz, Khalib Narveaz-Edmond; great-grandchildren, Khey’Juan Bates, Avery Bates, Jeremiah Bates, Sammy Garip-Perez; 3 sisters, Angela Smith, Ena Mason, Katie Miller; 1 brother, Chris Smith; 2 aunts, Joyce Edmond, Mary Edmond; a host of nieces, nephews, other family members, and friends.
