Mary L. Civils, 86, passed Sept. 8, 2015 at Hamilton Pointe Nursing Home. She was born on December 21, 1928 in Bumphus Mills, Tennessee to Owen Blane and Iris Etheleen Brandon Blane. She worked in home day care and for many years at Holiday Cleaners where she was an excellent seamstress.
Mary joined Nazarene Missionary Baptist Church where she was active for many years until her health failed. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Rev. Paul Civils; son Aaron Bell, Jr. and two sisters: Margaret Blane and Ruth Snordan.
She is survived by her daughter Vivian Massie and her husband Craig of Indianapolis, IN; sisters: Katherine Shamwell of Evansville , Ruby Whitlock of Clarksville, TN.
