Malcolm Clements completed his journey at the age of 82 on October 30, 2017 at 4:35 pm in the facility of Methodist Hospital in Henderson, KY.
He was a native of Henderson County. He was born March 4 1935 to Fred D. and Bertha M. Clements who preceded him in death. He was also a graduate of Douglass High School in Henderson.
Malcolm accepted Christ as his personal savior at an early age and reaffirmed his commitment a few hours before he took his last breath. He nodded that Jesus is all you need. Before his illness he enjoyed ushering and loved singing for the Lord. One of his favorite songs was I’m Free. And now he is free from pain and sorrow; waiting for the first resurrection.
He had a great work ethic. In his day he worked two and three jobs at a time. He was a great provider. He retired from Whirlpool Corporation after 36 years, but at various times throughout his life he also worked for the One Hour Cleaners, Kentucky Finance Company and Methodist Hospital. He loved to tinker with things. If something was broken he would to try to fix it before getting rid of it. He loved his family and cracking jokes. He wanted people to feel comfortable around him. He also loved to cook and would make some very creative meals. Some of his sandwich creations would cause you to raise an eyebrow and think “IS HE REALLY GOING TO EAT THAT? I MEAN REALLY?!”
Malcolm was preceded in death by his wife Charlesetta; his siblings: Fred L. Clements, Raymond Clements, Doris J. Shelton; and one grandchild Andrew. He is survived by his children: Gloria J. Clements, Vicky Hickerson (James), Malcolm Scott Clements (Michelle), Leonis O. Cosby, Charles L. Cosby, Brenda Cosby Anderson (Dean), Steve L. Cosby, Glenda G. Cosby Smith (Billy), Tonya D. Cosby; grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, in-laws and friends.
