Luther McNeal

Luther Garfield McNeal of Evansville, Indiana was born on July 7, 1938 to the late Elgin McNeal Sr. and Sudie Powell McNeal. Luther married Deloris Freels on July 23, 1960. Luther was employed at EVSC and BFI. Luther enjoyed motorcycles, cars, and most of all he loved life and his family.

Luther was preceded in death by both parents, three sisters: Ora, Ira, and Edna; two brothers: Elgin Jr. “June” and Aaron “Bill”.

Luther leaves to cherish his memory: his wife of nearly 60 years, Delores McNeal; one daughter: Pamela (Phil) McNeal; three sons: Luther Jr., Donald (Janetta), and Randy (Lisa) McNeal; three grandchildren: KriShonda, Amesha McNeal, and Julian Boyd; 10 extended grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; his brother Ruben “Scoot”; a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. The family would like to thank Deaconess Hospice.

Services will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, June 26 at R. Mason Brothers Memorial Chapel, Evansville, IN. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. until service time at the funeral home. Due to Covid-19, mask/face coverings will be required and social distancing will be practiced at all services
