Lloyd Hughes

December 29, 1955 — January 2, 2021

Lloyd D. Hughes, 65, of Madisonville, KY died Saturday, January 2, 2021 at
Vanderbilt Hospital in Nashville, TN. He was the son of Marlene Beryl
Hughes-Eaves. He was a graduate of Earlington High School and attended Western Kentucky University. In 1978 he became a member of the Gamma Theta chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc.

Lloyd enjoyed playing softball in his younger days and golfing in his later years. He was a lifelong member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Earlington, KY where he previously served as a Deacon. He was a retired employee of IACR International Automotive Company.

Lloyd is survived by his daughter: Stephanie Hughes, daughters by love: Robin and Christie Steppe; grandson: Tra’Maine Hughes; 3 siblings: Brenda Stevenson (Leroy), Kayla Bailey (Howard), Lorraine Scisney (twin sister); uncles: Kenneth Hughes, Gilbert Hughes, Weldon Lloyd Hughes; along with numerous grandchildren by love, nieces, nephews and a host of cousins that will miss his presence.

Services will be on Saturday, January 9 at 1:00 p.m. at Mt. Zion Baptist Church, Earlington, KY. There will be a walk-thru visitation on Saturday, January 9 from 10:00 a.m. - noon at Mason & Sons Funeral Home, Madisonville, KY.

Due to Covid-19 restrictions masks will be required and social distancing will be practiced.
