Linda Guilder was born on February 18, 1950, to the late Jesse Franklin Rucker and Maureen Hines Rucker in Evansville, IN. She departed this life in the early morning hours of June 17, 2021. Linda was a graduate of Benjamin Bosse High School class of 1968. She attended Ivy Tech and received her certification in Medical Coding. She was employed at St Vincent Medical Center for many years in the coding department and later became employed at Methodist Hospital until retiring
in 2020.
Linda became a member of Cleaves Memorial CME Church in 1984 under the leadership of Rev. Dr. Charles K. Henry. As an active and faithful member of Cleaves for 37 years, she served as the President of the Cleaves Chorus for 10 years, the chairman of the Culinary Committee for 21 years, and most recently Secretary of the Missionary Society. Linda loved to cook, travel, and play cards with friends, but her biggest joy was spending time with her great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Linda was preceded in death by her daughter: Theresa Guilder Johnson, and brothers: Jesse, Dwight, and Timothy Rucker.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her devoted son: Charles Guilder (Khallah Price) of Evansville, IN; devoted significant other: Obie Milner of Evansville, IN; granddaughters: Latoya Vance of Indianapolis, IN, Keisha Johnson of Henderson, KY; brothers: Myron, Mark, and Anthony Rucker of Evansville, IN; sisters: Sheila Conner, Jill, Yolanda, and Anessah Rucker all of Evansville, IN; 7
beautiful great-grandchildren; an enormous host of nieces, nephews, cousins, lifelong friends, and a loving church family.
Services are 12:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 23, 2021, at Cleaves Memorial CME Church with visitation from 10:00 a.m. until service. A mask is required for attendance. Burial in Oak Hill Cemetery. R. Mason Brothers Memorial Chapel is entrusted with arrangements. Leave condolences at
