Linda Kay Davis Alexander, age 61, passed away Thursday, August 27, 2015. She
was born to the late Tom Davis and Ola Mae Davis of Robards KY.
Linda professed the Lord Jesus as her personal Savior at an early age. She
was a member of the Bethel Baptist Church under the late Rev. Newell. She sang
in the church choir.
Linda was a homemaker and also worked as a housekeeper, a CNA at several
nursing homes, at Shoney’s Restaurant in Henderson KY, and as a waitress. She
loved to cook, draw, write short stories and create poems. Most of all, she
loved spending time with her two grandchildren who knew her as “Granny.”
Linda leaves to cherish her memory her husband, Mike Alexander of Bulls Gap
TN; her two daughters: Carla Michelle Chappel of Henderson KY and Lynn Marie
Chappell (Pam Williamson) of Paris TN; three brothers: Charles (Vera) Davis of
Evanston IL, Billy (Riina) Davis of Henderson KY, and Joe (Diane) Davis of
Evanston IL; two sisters: Barbara (John) Cheavey of Pleasant Prairie WI and
Katrina Davis of Henderson KY; two grandchildren: Keileen Chappell and NiYa
Davis of Henderson KY; a very close niece and two close nephews whom she loved
as siblings: Janice Harris of Kenosha WI, Keith Thomas of Wilton Manors FL, and
Derrick Thomas of Ferguson MO; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and
friends.
Services will be held Wednesday, September 2, 2015 at 1:00pm at Mason Brothers
Memorial Chapel, 1001 Lincoln Avenue, Evansville IN with visitation at the
funeral home from 11:00am until service time. Mason Brothers Memorial Chapel is
in charge of arrangements.
