Lillie Teresa Moore

Lillie Teresa Moore was born on January 12, 1961, in Madisonville, KY to the late James Ezra Gant Sr. and Mary Hester Gant. Lillie departed this life on February 20, 2024. She was well-loved by her family and many friends.

Lillie received Christ and was baptized at an early age at Branch Street Church of God in Christ where she was a member until her death. Lillie graduated from Madisonville North Hopkins High School in 1979. She went on to become a Nurse's Aide for home health. Lillie had a passion for caring for the elderly as she continued to be a private sitter after her retirement. 

Lillie loved listening to her old-school music while cleaning up her house. She would always say “Ain't nothing like this old school music. You know this old-school music has a meaning to it.”  She enjoyed playing cards amongst family and friends and she loved watching her show, Sanford and Son. Most of all, Lillie enjoyed being there for anyone who needed her. She will truly be missed.

In addition to her father, she is preceded in death by her husband, Larry Moore Sr.; father, James Gant Sr.; daughter, Shanica Gant; brother, Charles Gant.

Lillie leaves to cherish her memories, her mother, Mary Hester Gant; son, Elijah-Wone Moore; daughter, Elaysha Moore; step-son, Larry (Evelyn) Moore; step-daughter, Ladrenna (Terry) Slaton; sisters, Ophelia Slaton, Tauwanna (Timothy) Dunston, Helen Gant, and Linda Moss; brothers, Tony Elliott Sr. and James Gant Jr.; many grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.
