Leonis Odell Cosby Jr.

Leonis Odell Cosby, Jr., 64, went home to be with the Lord on November 22, 2017 at St. Vincent Hospital in Evansville. He was born in Henderson, KY on July 29, 1953 to the late Leonis Odell Cosby, Sr. and Charlesetta Boone Cosby. Leonis, was affectionately known as Junie by his friends and family.
He accepted Christ at an early age and joined First Missionary Baptist Church. After graduation from Henderson County High School, Leonis went on to attend the University of Kentucky. Throughout his life, his work history included Community Methodist Hospital and Rideout Salvage yard. He had a passion for automobiles and inherited his skills for repairing them from his father.
Leonis leaves to cherish fond and loving memories, his son: Bryce Cosby; three brothers: Steve L. Cosby, Charles L. Cosby, Malcolm Scott Clements; 5 sisters: Brenda J. Anderson (Dean), Glenda Gayle Smith (Billy), Tonya D. Cosby, Vicky Hickerson (James), Gloria J. Clements; uncles, aunts, nieces & nephews and friends. Services are Thursday November 30, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at First Missionary Baptist Church with visitation from 11:00 a.m. until service time. Burial is in Fernwood Cemetery.
