Lawrence Edward Carter

Lawrence Edward Carter, 51, better known as “Stinky,” gained his wings on February 4, 2023. Lawrence was born on September 8, 1971, to the late Lawrence William Carter and LaJoyce Ann Weathers. He was a devoted father, grandfather, brother, and uncle. Lawrence “Stinky” Carter would give anyone the shirt off his back.

Lawrence was born and raised in Evansville, IN. He worked for Deaconess and was recently considered disabled after his heart condition. Lawrence enjoyed chauffeuring his kids, fishing, watching sports, having family time, and being the life of the party. He had a smile that would brighten the room and a laugh that would lighten the room and was very well known in the community as Uncle or Cousin Stinky. He was known and respected by everyone with whom he came in contact.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers: Timothy Wayne-Housman and Bunk Connor; and his dog: Girlie.

Stinky leaves behind his loving companion: Danielle Lipking; beautiful daughters: E’Laysha Carter, Rhe’Oujshanee Carter, Soncerrai Carter, Selandria Stewart, and Alliyah Hendricks; grandchildren: Zy’Rhe Fentress, DeAndrea Carter, Zaylin Fentress, and Kamari Stewart; siblings: Yolanda Weathers, Tracy (Marvin) Lewis, Antonio Bushrod, Stacy Weathers, Selene Compton, Georgianna Walker, Melissa Clardy, Calandra Carter, William Carter, Ollie Wing, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and many many friends.

Stinky will be truly missed by Sinbad and Laila his beloved dogs.
