Kenneth Tyrone Murphy

Kenneth Tyrone Murphy, age 67, of Madisonville departed this life on Monday, January 8, 2024 at Deaconess Midtown in Evansville, Indiana.  He was born on September 12,1956 in Madisonville to the late Mattie Mae (Reynolds) Murphy and Floyd Murphy, Jr.

Kenneth graduated from South Hopkins High School in 1974.  He was a former member of Forest Chapel Baptist Church in Mortons Gap.  Kenneth was a loving, caring person with a big smile.  He loved his family, his dogs, and the Louisville Cardinals.  He also liked playing basketball and baseball.

Kennieth was preceded in death by his parents, Mattie Mae Murphy and Floyd Murphy Jr.; son, Kristopher Shaun Murphy; granddaughter, Anaiya Shaun-Marie White; sisters, Wanda Faye Murphy-Clark and Judy Murphy-Slaton; and brother, Michael Murphy.

He leaves behind to cherish his loving memory, his wife, Portia Murphy of Madisonville; sons, Miguel Talley of Hopkinsville, Kenneth (Audrey) Murphy, Jr. of North Carolina, and Leslie Murphy of South Carolina; daughters, Tymori Murphy and Cheri Murphy of Madisonville; sister, Paulette (George) Rutledge; brothers,  Bobby  (Sandra) Murphy of Indianapolis, Harold Ray (Deborah) Murphy of Radcliff, Glenn (Doretha) Murphy of Mortons Gap, Christopher (Cassandra) Murphy of Earlington; aunt, Janice Murphy of  Gary, IN; uncle, Charles (Emma) Reynolds of Atlanta; and a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
