Our beloved Kenneth Lee Johnson was born Dec. 19, 1947 to Harvey Johnson and Robbie Lee Blythe Johnson. He gained his heavenly wings on Jan. 13, 2017 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. He was a graduate of Mayfield High School and West KY Vocational & Technical School in Paducah. While in high school, Kenny had a talent for boxing and won his division. He also enjoyed football. After graduating, he worked at People’s Bank where he was the first African American teller. He also worked for Western KY Vocational & Technical School. Kenny was drafted into the Army in 1968 and served his country for two years. He was stationed in Nuremberg, Germany as an E-5 Admin Specialist. After the Army, he joined Martin Marietta where he had a 28-year career.
Kenny was preceded in death by his father Harvey Johnson; sisters: Harvetta Osler, Clarissa Johnson; grandparents: Robert & Myrtie Blythe and Calvin & Addie Johnson.
He leaves to cherish fond and loving memories, his children: Jennifer Reives (Steve), Tammy Mason (Ronnie R.), Candace Burton (Anthony), Leslie Duerson, Lolita D Lorah Jashonna Carruthers, Su Kreshia Bridgett, Kenneth Lee Laster (Jasmine), Kesean Johnson; grandchildren: Steven P. Reives, Destiny C. Reives, Eu Dora Mason, Dyrian D. Mason, Treylan L. Gray, Zoe Burton, Xavier Burton, Khloe Burton, Shannon Lee, Ja’Torrian Lee, I’ona Lee, Jordan Duerson, Symantha McKenzie A. Carruthers, Damien Harper, Andrew Bridgett, SaNiyah Bridgett, Ava Jean Laster; mother: Robbie Lee Blythe Johnson; brother: Harvey Johnson, Jr.; sister: Jo Thomas Smith, beloved cousin Jackie Kelley Jackson and a host of family and friends.

Services are 11:00 a.m. Saturday January 21, 2017 at Fairview Baptist Church in Mayfield with visitation from 10:00 a.m. until service time. Masons Memorial Chapel in Mayfield is entrusted with services.
