Kenneth Brian Colbert, 47, passed away on Friday, December 9, 2022, in Princeton, Indiana. Kenneth was born on July 8, 1975, in Harvey, Illinois, to the late William Barry Colbert, Sr. ad Dorothy Haney Colbert.
Brian was a sweet, caring soul. Although he was soft-spoken, he never met a stranger. He loved to spend time with his family, “kicking it” as he would always say. He was very big on his family and loved his kids dearly. No one could describe the e the love he had for “his best” friend, his wife, Yashema. She was his biggest cheerleader and supporter. Through thick and thin, she always stood by him. His love for her was immeasurable. Brian was a hard and dedicated worker. He worked at Toyota Boshoku for 9 years. He enjoyed his job and rarely missed a day of work. Brian took pride in keeping the yard cut and clean. Even after a long shift at work, you could find him outside doing yardwork to ensure it was neat and decorated for the season. He also enjoyed cooking, barbecuing, and baking. Brian was a huge sports fan, and his favorite pastime was watching football, basketball, or any other sport that piqued his interest, especially his favorite team, “The Chicago Bears.”
Brian leaves fond and lasting memories to his loving wife: Yashema Colbert; children: Kenneth Brian Colbert, Jr., Kevon Colbert, Kian Colbert, Darnell McRath, DeShayvion McRath, DeAjah Brodie, Kiano Brodie; mother: Dorothy Colbert; brothers: William “Barry” Colbert, Jr. Gerald Adams; sister: Shardae Gage; grandmother: Arlene Cage; mother in law: Mary Stith; father in law: Harvey Sallee; grandson: Celso Barrera; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family and friends.
