Mrs. Joyce Lee Belle of Providence, KY transitioned peacefully in her home on October 1, 2016. She was born in Providence, KY on August 1, 1933 and was the eldest child born to Virgil and Minnie Woolfolk. She married Donald Belle on June 9, 1949 and to this union nine children were born.
She was a member of Pleasant Hill Missionary Baptist Church. She was an active member of the Dorcas Circle and a dedicated member of the General Anderson Women’s Relief Corps. No. 3, and the Webster County Democratic Women’s Club. She retired from Hudson Chevrolet in 1999.
Joyce’s hobbies included fishing, traveling, gardening, and cooking. She was well respected and loved by her friends, family, and loved ones. She leaves a legacy of love, laughter, and gratitude.
In addition to her parents and husband, Joyce was preceded in death by her son Ronnie; her siblings: Everett Woolfolk, Larry Woolfolk, Osie Dell Broady, and Paula Franklin.
She leaves to cherish her memory her children: Juan (Helen)Belle of Peoria, IL, Michael (Zorida) Belle of Providence,KY, Wayne (Anita) Belle of Providence,KY, Donna (Bill) Stafford), of Madisonville,KY, Reba Lawrence of Paducah,KY, Myra Belle of Providence,KY, Carlos (Jennifer) Belle of Bloomingon, IL, and Leah (Warren) Grayer of Peoria, IL; 29 grandchildren; 59 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; siblings: Shirley Young, Sandra (Rueben) Battle, Louis (Sandra) Woolfolk; Revella (Calbert) Brooks, Sheila (Bobby) Hawkins, Valeria (James) Hyde, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and special friends: Ronnie Scott (son-in-law and John “Little Head” Lisman (family caregiver).
Services are Saturday October 8, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, Providence, KY with visitation on Friday October 7, 2016 from 6:00 -8:00 p.m. at the church and from 11:00 a.m. until service time on Saturday October 8, 2016.
