Johnny Rankin

Johnny “Jap” Rankin, 75, passed away October 18, 2020 at Columbia Nursing Home. He was born to the late Roy Van Rankin, Sr. and Lucille (Duncan) Rankin. Johnny was the 7th of 11 children.
Johnny attended St. John’s Catholic and Lincoln High Schools. He worked at various auto body shops in Evansville.
Johnny leaves behind his children: Johnny Rankin, Jr., Quan Rankin, Adrieanna Rankin, and LaQuita Shelby; brothers: Steve and Jerry Rankin; sisters: Shirley Price and Anna Lawrence; and a host of other extended family and friends.
Funeral Services will be on Saturday, October 24 at 5:00 p.m. at R. Mason Brothers Chapel, 1001 Lincoln Ave., Evansville, IN. Visitation will be at 4:00 p.m. until service time. Burial will be Monday, October 26 at Oak Hill Cemetery. Due to Covid-19 a mask is required.
