Johnny Lee Funches died Sunday, April 7, 2019 in Harvey, Illinois. He was born March 30, 1951 in Shelby, Mississippi to the late Gertrude Funches Robinson and Elton Morris, Sr.

John Lee lived in Harvey, Illinois but spent the majority of his life in Evansville, IN. He worked at Givvs Industries in Henderson, KY. “G-Man” was a very special man who everyone loved. He always found a way to make you laugh. He could cut one down with his jokes. Yet, “G-Man” had a way to raise you up with his love and support. His life was full of adventure and excitement because he loved to be around family and celebrate. “G-Man” will be known for getting along with everyone and “talking smack” with his sense of humor. John Lee will be missed dearly by all his family and friends.

John Lee is preceded in death by his mother, Gertrude Funches Robinson; his father, Elton Morris, Sr.; siblings: Lillie M. Smith, Katherine Morris, Johnny M. Robinson (Lee Ethel Funches), Earnestine Pam, Ella Green, Lois Morris, Eddie B. Funches, Elton L. Funches, and Laura Funches; and stepmother, Rosie Lee Morris.

John Lee is survived by his wife, Rosiemary Funches-Morris; children: Tyrese Morris, Lonnie Lee Johnson, Terry T. Adams, Johnny L. Morris Jr., and Erica Johnson; stepmother, Christine Benson-Jones; siblings: Elton Morris Jr. and Kim, J. E. and Debra Morris, Viola Morris, Otis Morris, Ann Sanders, Debra Anderson, Larry Anderson, Dennis Anderson, Sandra Jones, Lee Arthur and Debra Funches, Johnett Funches, Birtie Davis, Alice Davis, Nicole Mathis, AC and Connie Morris; sisters in-law and brothers-in-law: Bruce Adams and Gloria Moore, Katherine Adams, Mary J. Adams, Joyce Lafetta, Earline and James Adams, Johnny and Chynthia Adams, and Willie Davis.

Services are Saturday, April 20, 2019 at 11:30am at Progressive Holy Temple, 1700 Pollack Avenue, Evansville, IN with visitation at 10:00 am until service time. Burial at Oak Hill Cemetery.
