John "Doc" White

John “Doc” White, Sr., age 70, of Madisonville KY, passed away June 8, 2015 at
Select Specialty Hospital in Evansville IN. John retired from Peabody Coal
Company. He was a faithful member of Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church in
Earlington KY.

John was preceded in death by his mother, Almeter White; his fathers, L.T. Stone
and Leonard White; one daughter, Stephanie Yancey; one son, Bryan White; one
granddaughter, Michaela White; four brothers: James and Bennie White, Edward
Hopson, and Arthur Thomas Evans; and two sisters, Jemella Riley and Olivia
Grayson.

He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Darlene White of Madisonville KY;
nine children: three daughters – Sonya (Tony) Pillow of Providence KY, Erica
White of Greenville KY, and Destiny White of Madisonville KY and six sons –
Marvin Word of Sturgis KY, Timothy White of Lincoln NE, John Scisney of
Madisonville KY, John White, Jr. of Madisonville KY, Rodric White of Bowling
Green KY, and Eric White of Greenville KY; four brothers: George White of
Madisonville KY, David Stone, Randy Stone, and Oneal Stone all of Earlington KY;
four sisters: Yvonne White and Gloria Stone both of Earlington KY, Charmaine
Stone of Madisonville KY, and Wilma Noel of Hendersonville TN; 28 grandchildren;
and a host of great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

Services will be held Saturday, June 13, 2015 at 11:00am at Mt. Zion Missionary
Baptist Church in Earlington KY. Visitation will be Friday from 4:00pm – 8:00pm
at Mason & Sons Funeral Home in Madisonville KY. Burial in Oakwood Cemetery in
Earlington. Arrangements are entrusted to Mason & Sons Funeral Home, 409 E.
Noel Avenue, Madisonville KY.
