John (J.T.) Tyler, Sr.

John Tyler, Sr. was born March 14, 1938 and left us on September 24, 2015. John worked for J.H. Rudolph Construction Company as a truck driver until he retired. He enjoyed gardening, cooking and helping others. John loved being around other people and was well known and liked by many. Also known as “J.T.”, his warm generosity and funny sense of humor will be missed by all who knew him.
John was preceded in death by his parents: Emrich Tyler, Sr. and Lucille Lewis Tyler; sisters: Lena Edwards, Dorothy Wright; brothers: Donald Tyler, Norman Tyler; son: Jason Tyler.
He leaves to cherish loving memories, one daughter Tamara Finch (Brent); three sons: John Tyler, Jr., Jerald Tyler, DeJohn Tyler; grandchildren: Tashara Dozier, Tashley Dozier, Michael Tyler, Jerrica Tapp, Xavier Tyler; great grandchildren: Ja’Nayah Dozier, Jakhai Dozier, Josiah Dozier, Levi Payton, Jada Tyler, Mariah Tyler and a host of cousins, nieces, and nephews. His surviving brothers and sisters are Emrich Tyler, Jr., Wayne Tyler, Lottie Richardson, and Nannie Randolph.
