John William Rose, Sr., age 65 of Henderson, KY passed away on Wednesday, July 20, 2016.
John was born in Morganfield, Kentucky on June 18, 1951 to Rev. James Henry Rose and Daisy C. Rose. As a young man, he moved to Indianapolis, IN and worked at Capital Fencing as a supervisor until his retirement.
John accepted Christ at an early age and joined First Free Will Baptist. He joined with Eloise Marie in Holy Matrimony. He had 10 children and he loved and enjoyed being around family.
John was preceded in death by his wife, Eloise Marie; his father, James; his mother, Daisy; three sisters: Daisy Mae Cabell (and her husband, Gary), Edna Hale and Catherine Rose; and two brothers, Nathaniel William Collins and James Henry Rose, Jr.
He is survived by two sons, John William Rose, Jr. (Deanna) of Raleigh NC and Terrence Morris of Indianapolis IN; eight daughters: Lisa Rose Rowe, Michelle D. Rose Stott, Allison Stewart, Leanna Rose – all of Henderson KY, Melissa Rose of Louisville KY, Shantelle Rose of Lafayette IN, Jonisha McKinnley, and Shadiamond McKinnley of Indianapolis IN; two brothers, Charles and Robert Rose – both of Henderson KY; two sisters, Mary Rose Gold (Herbert) of Henderson KY and Anna Rose of Evansville IN; twelve grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Homegoing Services will be held Saturday, July 30, 2016 at 11:00am at First Missionary Baptist Church in Henderson, KY with visitation from 9:00am until service time. Burial in Fernwood Cemetery. Condolences may be left at
