John Porter III

We give thanks to the Lord for the life and caring of John Porter III, of Madisonville, KY. He gave John life through his parents John Porter II and Lucille Porter on May 21, 1953 in Madisonville, KY.
John was 67 years old when the Lord opened the door of life that is new, abundant, and everlasting on Monday, February 22, 2021 at approximately 9:00 p.m. at his home.
John was well known in the Hopkins and Muhlenberg communities. John was a graduate of Madisonville North Hopkins High School where he played football. He was a retired coal miner of Peabody Coal Company as well as a retired truck driver for RTI Trucking Company.
John is preceded in death by his parents: John Porter II and Lucille Porter.
John leaves to cherish his memories, daughter: Tiffany Porter of Madisonville, KY; grandsons: Kevin Combs, Jr. and Jordan Nichols of Madisonville, KY; granddaughter: Erica Rice of Madisonville, KY; and companion of many years: Jackie Cain.
God saw you getting weary, he did what he knew best, he put his arms around you and whispered, come and rest. It broke our hearts to lose you, but you did not go alone for part of us went with you the day God called you home.
