Jimmy Durante Johnson

Jimmy Durante Johnson, 62, of Indianapolis, Indiana passed away Tuesday, May 16, 2023, at IU Methodist Hospital. Jimmy was born in Evansville on January 23, 1961, to the late James Paul Johnson and Lucy Mae Echols.
At the age of seven, Jimmy attended The ARC of Evansville Training Center until he transitioned to working at ARC Industries (Kotter) in 1994. Jimmy worked for Kotter for 25 years. Outside of work, Jimmy devoted his time to sports, church, and his family. He was an active competitor in the Special Olympics where he played basketball, softball, track, and participated in swimming. He won multiple medals in each category. Jimmy was a loyal 40+ year member of Liberty Missionary Baptist Church where he sang in the choir. His faith in God was unwavering and unmatched by many.
In addition to his parents, Jimmy was preceded in death by four siblings: Paula Parker, Jacques Moody, Dareatha Hill, and Lamoris Johnson
Jimmy is survived by his siblings: James Micheal Johnson, LaTonya “Tina” Johnson, Katrina Killebrew, Anna Mitchell, Alice Turner, Charlie “Calvin” Johnson, James Melvin Johnson, Dorothy Johnson, Mary Jackson, and Denise Campbell.
