Jeremy Lee Spivey, born April 28, 1988 to the late Gwendolyn Joyce Cottoner Sherman and the late Harvey Lee Spivey, departed this life at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 3,2023 in Dayton, OH.
Jeremy spent the majority of his childhood in Madisonville where he attended Pride Avenue Elementary. Jeremy later moved to Dayton, OH where he attended and graduated from Dunbar High School. Jeremy was employed by Sonic for over 12 years where he was a part of the management team. Jeremy accepted Christ and was baptized at an early age and was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church.
Jeremy was an avid sports fan and if the New England Patriots were playing, he was guaranteed to be watching. Along with his love for the Patriots, Jeremy had a passion for music, boxing, and basketball. He enjoyed all of these things but what Jeremy loved the most and what brought him more joy than anything was being De’Vayah’s dad. Jeremy was a proud dad and he made sure everyone knew it.
Jeremy was preceded in death by his parents: Gwendolyn and Harvey; grandparents: Robert and Gertrude Cottoner, Clinton and Martha Spivey; and his sister: Candace Joyce Murphy.

Robert (Jonell) Cottoner of Earlington, KY, Arliss W. (Mickey) Cottoner of Louisville, KY, James (Delma) Cottoner, Roger J. Cottoner both of Madisonville, KY; elder: John Spivey of Nortonville, KY, Euguene (Mille) Spivey, Linton Spivey, and Henry Spivey all of Dayton, OH, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, best friend/little brother: Alex Muela, and first love , partner, and the mother of his daughter: DeAngela Bohannon.
